The 18th International 3D GeoInfo Conference 2023 took place in Munich, Germany on 13-14 September 2023 🇩🇪. It was hosted by the Chair of Geoinformatics at the Technical University of Munich led by Professor Thomas H. Kolbe. I have presented our research work on ‘Humans as Sensors in Urban Digital Twins’, which was coauthored with Su Yunlei and Filip Biljecki. Further, it was a significant achievement for our team to receive the best paper award 🏆🥳.

3D City models are becoming widespread in use for mapping and planning cities and for communicating data about cities to stakeholders. This Online workshop will cover a wide range of related topics including: model quality, model use, model production, new 3D visualisation methods and future trends in VR, AR and Digital Twins.
This presentation provided a comprehensive review of challenges that hindered the operation and implementation of urban digital twins. This project was designed with a bifurcated, holistic, and rigorous approach of research papers and a Delphi expert survey, which would be found of interest to a range of stakeholders, from researchers to practitioners and national mapping agencies.

The NUS-SUTD PhD Symposium in Architecture is an annual event jointly hosted by the Department of Architecture (DoA) at National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Architecture and Sustainable Design Pillar (ASD) at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).
This presentation delivered a holistic and comprehensive 4-category framework, ‘3D City Index’, implemented to measure and benchmark 40 authoritative 3D city models, and derive quantitative and qualitative insights that enable a comprehensive and structured understanding of the landscape of semantic 3D geospatial data.
